Emilia Tanner: Beneath the Surface of Paper

Dialogues introduces a new concept in the presentation of the Saastamoinen Foundation Art Collection. The exhibition features pairs or groups of works that engage in free dialogue with one another, encouraging visitors to compare and draw parallels between them.

"I've always been fascinated by the idea that paper, as such a thin material, can still somehow be peeled—layer by layer. That while working with it, it’s constantly balancing on the edge between breaking and staying intact. Maybe, deep down, there’s been this desire to get inside the paper. To reach that place that's always hidden, but where, in a way, anything could exist."
