Aura Saarikoski: Autobiographical Elements in Photography

Dialogues introduces a new concept in the presentation of the Saastamoinen Foundation Art Collection. The exhibition features pairs or groups of works that engage in free dialogue with one another, encouraging visitors to compare and draw parallels between them.

”I think photography actually fits in with autobiographical methods in a really interesting way because photography involves this idea of indexicality. That is, that photography is a picture of something that has actually happened in front of the camera in a time and place.”
